About Us
Forgotten Fare are based in a small village in Lincolnshire, not far from Market Rasen
The original idea for Forgotten Fare came from members of the public asking if they could sample the food and drink served to re-enactors at various events. Or could they have the recipes. Due to hygiene and insurance requirements we had to say no to sampling. Then we found a way, by complying with all the regulations we began trading December 2014 at small local events, selling just three medieval recipe mulling spice kits for wine, the following year we added spices for mulling cider and from there we grew.

Our Story
Forgotten Fare was originally just me, and my daughter, she had to reluctantly step back when her career meant moving away. Now it's just me, with help from my husband who acts as my 'roadie'. We were, and both still are, medieval re-enactors, its where the roots of Forgotten Fare lie.
We don't just sell, we also do talks and demonstrations, (Lincolnshire only) this led to requests for other time periods, Tudor, Victorian, and in 2018 we did a WW1 display - see the pic on the left.
The research into the clothing, equipment and foods of the differing time periods enabled me to expand our range of seasoning and mulling kits to what you see today. I enjoy doing the research and trying out the recipes to find new products so the range will continue to expand.
Delivery & Returns
Allow 1-2 working days (Monday to Friday) for dispatch
Delivery is via Royal Mail, 2nd class. Most single items are sent large letter post which is 2-3 days.
Multiple items will be sent small parcel post which is 2-3 days Returns
Returns and exchanges within 30 days
Buyer is responsible for return postage costs and any loss in value if an item isn't returned in original condition.
